Sleep Center

Insomnia is not the only sleep disorder, of course. If you can answer yes to any of these questions, you might be suffering from a sleep disorder.

  • Do you have difficulty falling asleep?
  • Do you snore?
  • Do you feel sleepy during the day?
  • Do you awaken in the morning and not feel rested?
  • Do you wake up gasping for breath?
  • Do you have morning headaches?

A sleep disorder can be a serious problem, and according to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, more than 100 million Americans of all ages fail to get a good night’s sleep.

Examples of Sleeping Disorders include:

Testing and Treatment for Sleep Disorders
Spring Branch Medical Center provides complete diagnostic sleep studies, monitoring for oxygen saturation and carbon dioxide levels, as well as the measuring of sleep parameters to determine the appropriate amount of oxygen required during sleep. Our Sleep Center is located on Pech Rd, just south of the hospital. Our Sleep Lab is a very comfortable and technologically advanced laboratory. Each room is equipped with a bed, a bathroom, personal phone and color television. There is individual climate control and adjustable lighting. Our goal is to provide you with the most comfortable, highest quality service in an efficient and professional atmosphere. Our staff has been specially trained in the care of testing of sleep disorder patients.

Sleep Lab Testing includes:

  • Complete diagnostic sleep studies and follow-up treatment for a wide range of sleep disorders.
  • Laboratory testing including detailed sleep evaluations with comprehensive diagnostic reports.
  • Sleep studies for snoring and sleep apnea which include monitoring of oxygen saturation, respiratory efforts and airflow, as well as monitoring sleep state and quality.

Our patients require a physician referral for scheduling an appointment. Individuals who think that they might have a sleep disorder can either be referred by their private physician or they can call the Center directly. For more information, please call 713-984-3519.
