For nearly four decades, Spring Branch Medical Supply has been focused on serving the needs of our patients, customers, and caregivers from our store in Houston, Texas. In that time, we have proudly provided equipment to allow our customers to maintain their independence, age in place, and stay where they're most comfortable — at home. Spring Branch Medical Supply is currently led by Faisal "RJ" Poonawala, who took over the business from his parents. For two generations, the Poonawala family has been providing the best possible service while investing in the community. We take pride in giving back to the community that has embraced our business. Our History
Spring Branch Medical Supply got its start in 1985 and arose from the Poonawalas noticing a gap in the services offered by home medical equipment companies at the time. Ali Poonawala, RJ's father, was recovering from surgery after sustaining a back injury. To help her husband, Ana Poonawala went to a local medical supply store looking for assistance and to ask questions about what she could expect with her husband's recovery. She didn't get the answers she was looking for. Seeing that their community was in need of a home medical equipment and supply store that was focused on meeting the needs of every customer that walked through the doors, the Poonawala opened their own store, called Pulmonary Assistance at the time. Pulmonary Assistance eventually became Spring Branch Medical Supply. And while the name may have changed, the Poonawala mission of making sure every customer feels like they are heard, and that their needs are met, remains the same.
Our Mission
At Spring Branch Medical Supply, we live by a simple mission — "Being of Service." To our leadership and staff, it is important that we are more than a business. We believe it is our duty to be of service any time we can, whether we’re involved with a school fundraiser, volunteering at a non-profit, or helping a customer in our store.
